Power: sun is the resource

The region's abundant sunshine makes solar-plus-battery systems very workable. Size the system for your real loads (well pump, appliances, heating/cooling) and plan for storage to cover nights and cloudy stretches. Where the grid is close, compare a utility extension cost against a solar build — sometimes the line pull wins, often solar does.

Water: well or storage
